3 Days Training Programme On Early Detection Of Drug Abuse And Post-Detection Management Of Youth Volunteers At District Level

27 March 2023, Udhampur: 100 NCC Cadets from 1st and 2nd NCC Battalions of the college participated in the 3 days training programme on Early Detection of Drug Abuse and Post- Detection Management of Youth volunteers at District Level organized by District Social Welfare Department and managed by District Youth Sports and Service 0fficer, Udhampur. The programme started with a training session on day one at DC Office Udhampur, followed by poster making competition at GCW college campus on day two. The cadets also participated in the Walkathon on day three holding placards from DC office to Gole Market Udhampur. The administration distributed caps and tracksuits to the participants. Prof. Monika Sharma, Principal, GCW Udhampur appreciated the participation of the cadets and said, “ As the largest uniformed youth organization in the world, NCC can raise awareness, create a culture of fighting substance abuse and effectively guide the curiosity of young and vulnerable people in colleges and communities.” The event was coordinated by Dr. Kamaldeep Kaur, Nodal Officer, NCORD, GCW Udhampur.
