GCW Udhampur celebrated International Women's Day
With the aim of upliftment of youth of the institution, HQ NC, Udhampur organised a “Motivational Talk on how to Join Indian Army” at Government College for Women, Udhampur under the aegis of G20 and Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, with the view to bring awareness about the career options in Indian Army, Navy and Air Force among the eligible and enthusiastic local youth. The event was organised by Women Development Cell of the college and NCC Units 1&2 BN.
During the lecture, Lt. Col Rashmi Chowdhury, the resource person emphasised that employment is a major concern of every youth and thus the eligible and aspiring youth should prepare and participate in different recruitments being conducted by Recruitment Agencies of Defence Services to join a noble and fulfilling career.
The motivational talk was attended by approximately 60 students and NCC cadets with great zeal and enthusiasm. Participants were imparted awareness about the physical and educational requirements and the selection process for various types of entries into the services.
The talk was witnessed by Prof. (Dr) Monika Sharma, Principal GCW Udhampur, Prof.Sumita Rao, Co-convener, Women Development Cell, Lt (Dr) Kamal Deep Kaur, ANO NCC, Prof.Shallu Jasrotia, Dr. Taniya Mahajan, Dr.Preeti Sharma.
