GCW Udhampur Felicitates Martyrs Family

NSS Unit Government College For Women Udhampur paid a poignant tribute to Police Martyr Constable Govind Singh and felicitated his Family under MERI MAATI MERA DESH Campaign on August 16, 2023. He attained Martyrdom on 12.02.2022 in an encounter with militants at Chambi Taral District Rajouri.
In this event, Memento was handed over to Martyr’s father Sh. Ram Saran from Tehsil Pancheri of Udhampur district by the Principal of College Prof. Anjali Mahajan. This memento was presented to the family of martyr as gesture of remembrance of the sacrifice made by the martyr and a commitment that nation will not forget his sacrifice.
On the occasion Principal, Staff and Volunteers interacted with the family of Martyr Constable Govind Singh and expressed gratitude and ampathy. Principal Prof.Anjali Mahajan said that nation will always be indebted to family and martyr for this supreme sacrifice.
This program was organised by NSS Pos Prof Sumita Rao and Prof.Rajinder Singh. Logistic support was provided by Dr. Kewal Kumar and Prof.Yash Kumar.
