NCC unit of the GCW Udhampur observes World Health Day
On 7 th April 2023, To mark the World Health Day 2023, 1 J&K GIRLS BATTALION NCC
SRINAGAR of Government College for Women Udhampur, under the aegis of G-20,
organized slogan writing competition to create awareness about importance of good health.
The theme of the competition was based on the World Health Organization’s theme for WHD
2023 “Health For All.”.
The competition was organized under the guidance and patronage of the worthy Principal of
the college Dr. Monika Sharma.
As many as 30 NCC cadets participated in the competition and expressed their view regarding
health wellbeing and creatively displayed their talent. They used their best expressions and
beautifully drafted the slogans that reflected the theme of the event.
Principal, Dr. Monika Sharma applauded the efforts of the cadets. She also motivated the
cadets and inspired them to participate in more such activities.
Dr. Tania Akhtar HOD English, Dr. Mohan Galgotra HOD Education and Prof. Roopa
Kumari, Assistant Professor of Education acted as jury member. The slogans were evaluated
on the basis of originality of content and presentation skills.
Cadet Palvi Sharma got 1 st prize, Cadet Rubeena and cadet Meenakshi got 2 nd and 3 rd prize
respectively. Cadet Priya, Cadet Anjali and Cadet Kritika Thakur got Consolation prizes.
The whole event was coordinated by NCC Caretaker Ms. Shallu Jasrotia. She also
appreciated the cadets for their active participation.
