Government College For Women Udhampur Celebrated International Drug De-addiction Day

The NCC Cadets of 1&2 NCC Bn Girls along with the NSS volunteers and Rangers of Scouts and Guides of GCW Udhampur celebrated International Drug Deaddiction Day ON 26th June 2023.
The students took an online pledge against drug addiction and then performed a ballet at the event organised by District Administration Udhampur. Mr. Sachin Kumar, District Commissioner Udhampur appreciated the efforts of the cadets and highlighted the importance of such programmes and stressed that the efforts should be made by all stakeholders particularly by the civil society to reach out to indulged youth in order to educate them about the menace of alcohol, drugs and narcotic substances.
Prof. Anjali Mahajan, Principal GCW Udhampur also appreciated the students and
urged them to work as ambassadors against drug addiction and to put forth their potential in the realization of latent dreams of their parents. Prof. Sumita Rao, Dr. Sumit Sharma and Dr. Usha Sharma accompanied the students at the venue.
Lt (Dr) Kamal Deep Kaur, Nodal Officer NCORD GCW anchored the event. The event was organized by DSWO, Mrs. Kanika Gupta, and was witnessed DDO's, BDO's, SSP and other prominent stakeholders of the district.
