Intercollegiate Online Quiz Competition On Yoga And Health Organized By GCW Udhampur

An intercollegiate online Quiz Competition on the topic “Yoga and Health” under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav- Campaign under the theme of “ Unity” and G20 presidency to mark the International Yoga Day on June 21, 2023 was organized by Swachhta Action Plan (SAP) Club and NSS units of GCW Udhampur under the able guidance of worthy Principal Prof. Anjali Mahajan and convenorship of Dr. Kewal Kumar and Prof. Sumita Rao respectively in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
Chief Guest on the occasion, Principal, Anjali Mahajan congratulated the winners and appreciated the initiative taken by SAP Club and NSS units of GCW for organising such a wonderful event. She stated that such awareness programmes in educational institutions will go a long way in motivating the students and general masses about the importance of Yoga in our life, how yoga shapes our life and health. Prof. Anjali Mahajan, Principal desired that everyone should follow and practice Yoga daily in their homes especially children that may lead ultimately to a healthy body and healthy mind.
In Quiz competition about 114 students from various colleges of J&K UT have participated including students from GDC Bhaderwah, GDC Kathua, ITI Bhadarwah, University of Jammu, Bhadarwah campus of University of Jammu in addition to students from GCW Udhampur. Besides some students from School education also participated in the quiz including SIKS Govt. High Secondary School Boys. All the participants were given E-certificates after achieving a requisite qualifying score. The whole programm was technically coordinated by Mr.Yash Kumar, Assistant Professor Department of Music.
