GCW Udhampur organizes lecture on Mobile phone safety.
Cyber Jagrukta Club of Government College For Women Udhampur organized an extension
lecture on the topic “Mobile Phone Safety” on 07/12/2022. The aim of the activity was to create
awareness among the students about the various aspects of cyber crimes and safety measures that
can protect the users from various types of cyber attacks while using the mobile phones. The
event was organized under the support and guidance of worthy Principal of the College Prof.
(Dr.) Monika Sharma.
The welcome address was given by Ms. Sarika Mahajan (Assistant Professor in Electronics)
Nodal Officer Cyber Jagrukta Club. She briefed the students about the various types of digital
initiatives. The resource person of the event was Prof. Paramjit Singh (HOD Computer
Applications.). He explained in detail about the Do’s and Don’ts while using mobile phone in
our day to day life. He also discussed the various types of precautionary measures to be followed
while using mobile phones in routine. He also briefed the students about information stealing,
data protection and password security. As many as 64 students participated in the event. The
students also interacted with the resource person and cleared their queries.
The Chief Guest of the function was Prof. (Dr.) Seema Sharma (HOD Music). She motivated the
students to follow the tips that were discussed in the lecture and appreciated the organizers of the
event for conducting such an informative and interactive lecture.
The formal vote of thanks was presented by Mr. Arun Gupta (Librarian). The event was
organized by Ms. Sarika Mahajan (Assistant Prof. in Electronics) Nodal Officer, Mr. Jugal
Kishore (Assistant professor in Mathematics), Mr. Arun Gupta (Librarian), Mr. Paramjit Singh
(HOD Computer Applications), Ms. Shama Rani (Assistant Prof. in Dogri) , Ms. Pooja Bharti
(Assistant Prof. in Geography.)
