J&K GIRLS BATTALION NCC SRINAGAR of GCW Udhampur conducted Rally
on Swachchta
On 6 th December 2022, under the ongoing outreach programme of
Government of Jammu and Kashmir, ‘My Town My Pride’, 1 J&K GIRLS
BATTALION NCC SRINAGAR of Government College for Women, Udhampur,
under the patronage of the worthy Principal Dr. Monika Sharma, organized an
awareness Rally of NCC cadets to aware people about ‘Swachchta’.
Principal of the college flagged off the rally with green flag. She addressed the
cadets on the various health benefits of keeping cleanliness in our
surroundings. She stressed on responsibility to keep our surroundings clean.
The cadets were motivated to give their best in the rally. Other faculty
members of the college Dr. Seema Sharma HOD Music, Prof Ashni HOD Botany,
Dr. Kewal Kumar Asstt. Professor of Botany, Prof. Yash Kumar Assistant
Professor of Music, Ms. Arti Gupta teaching Assistant of Music, were also
present there.
Around 45 NCC cadets participated in rally showing their enthusiasm and
spread the message of cleanliness using placards showcasing different slogans
like ‘We want clean India Green India, ‘Keep your surroundings Clean’, ‘Make
the Earth Green’ and also raised the slogans to spread the message of
cleanliness like ” Modiji ka ek hi sapna, Swachch Bharat desh ho apna ”, “Jan
Jan ki hai yehi Pukar-Swachch rahe apna Sansar”, “Gandhiji ka yehi sandesh,
swachch rahe apna yeh desh,” “Clean India, Green India”, etc. along with
banners.
The college faculty members also participated in the rally to provide guidance
and support to cadets. I/C ANO Ms. Shallu Jasrotia coordinated the event.
