Career Counselling, Guidance and Placement cell of Government College for Women,Udhampur organised a two-day SBI Life Recruitment drive in the college campus w.e.f. 11.05.2022 to 12.05.2022 in collaboration with SBI Life Insurance under the supervision of Prof. Jugal Kishore, Convener, Career Counselling, Guidance and Placement cell.
Prof. Minu Mahajan was the chief guest on the occasion and inaugurated the event on 11.05.2022. After inaugurating the event, the Chief Guest interacted with the SBI Life Team headed by Mr. Rakesh Verma, Branch Head and addressed the media persons and apprised them of the aims and objective of the programme. Students of the college expressed overwhelming response with registrations crossing over 470 candidates and about 97 students turned up on the very first day of the recruitment drive on 11.05.2022.
During the event, the worthy principal of the college had a round of the venue of the Recruitment Drive and interacted and encouraged the students to participate actively and confidently in the interviews being conducted under the recruitment drive and learn the art of the interview panel. The Principal of the college applauded the efforts of the Career Counselling, Guidance and Placement cell and shown the commitment of the college to organise such events in the future also, to apprise and prepare them to face the challenges of the emerging Job Market Scenario.
Students of the college under the leadership of the college Presidium head by Ms Neesha, President and Ms. Radhika Sharma, Vice President have actively participated in the event and NCC Cadets of the college under the guidance of Prof. Kamal deep Kour, have performed exemplary services in the overall management of the event. On the first day of the event about 97 candidates have appeared for the Interview.
Whereas,on second day of the Recruitment drive about 100 candidates turned up for the interview with total tally aggregating to 197 no of candidates appearing in the interview in the whole Recruitment Drive.
Other members involved in the event were Mr. Arun Gupta, Prof. Yash Paul, Prof. Binny Kumar, Dr. Mohan Galgotra, Dr. Usha Sharm, Prof. Roopa Kumari, Prof. Rajinder Singh, Prof. Yash Kumar, Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Prof. Pooja Bharti.
