World Environmental Day

Today Govt College for Women, Udhampur celebrated World Environmental Day online as well as offline to commemorate Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav under the auspices of 2 J&K Girls Bn NCC, Jammu.
The cadets planted saplings and placed water pots for stray animals and birds outside the college. The Principal, Prof. Monika Sharma said, ‘The Day raises awareness about Environment issues and it is a global platform for public out reach with participation from from all over the world’. She further appreciated the efforts of the organizing secretary, Lt. (Dr.) Kamal Deep Kaur, ANO and the NCC Cadets of the college for making this event a success.
